St. Mark's is collecting gently used coats and non-perishable food items throughout the month of September.  For more information, go to OUTREACH.                

St. Mark's is pleased to announce a Commemorative Paver Program for our Sanctuary Courtyard that allows a member or friend of St. Mark's Lutheran Church to purchase engraving on a 4" X 8" Unilock "Hollandstone - Sierra" paver in celebration, in honor, or in memory of a loved one.    Become a part of the history of St. Mark's by purchasing an engraved paver brick at a cost of $100.00 each.  Follow this link for more information:  PAVER PROGRAM

REGISTER NOW FOR FALL PROGRAMS!

Early registration helps us know how many children are planning to participate in our Christian Education programs so we can find enough volunteers, order curriculum and be prepared for our programs.

Look for forms in the Narthex, our use the online registration form on the Sunday School and Christian Education page.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 - RALLY DAY!

Rally Day is the "kick off" for Sunday School, FDL, Confirmation, Youth Group and other education programs.  We plan the traditional balloon launch between Sunday 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 - FDL, CONFIRMATION & HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP BEGIN!

Faith and Daily Life (1st through 5th grade), Confirmation (6th through 8th grade) and High School Youth Group begin their programs for the year.  Parent Orientation begins at 7:30 p.m.

50th Anniversary Celebration!

Saturday & Sunday, September 18 & 19

Bishop Wayne N. Miller will be our guest preacher at all services.  On Sunday, September 19 at 12:30 p.m. we will gather for a 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at Gaslight Manor in Aurora.  There will be a DVD presentation and door prizes.

Tickets are $25.00 each and may be purchased at all worship services.

"Letting the Children Come Unto Him"

The St. Mark's congregation is blessed to have two wonderful programs for children.  One is the preschool that is housed on the church grounds, which offers classes for children ages three and four with morning and afternoon sessions.

The second program is St. Mark's Child Development Center located at 1995 W. Downer Place--just a couple of blocks from church.  This not-for-profit corporation has openings in the following high quality programs:

• Full/Part-time Preschool and Child Care
• Full Day Kindergarten
• School Age Child Care
• Summer Camp
